I created this piece as a culmination of some of the surrealist techniques I studied during my freshman year of college. The Existential Journey focuses on the uncomfortable topic of death—embodied by the all-seeing clock. The tendrils of death reach out to pluck a soul whose life is fading away...Yet, instead of being terrified, the soul reaches its arms upwards, accepting the inevitability of death.
